Little Tots Day Nursery in Sutton Coldfield had a very special visitor today, as the Mayor of Walsall, Councillor Louise Harrison, joined children, families and staff to celebrate the nursery’s recent Outstanding Ofsted result.
The July inspection graded Little Tots as Outstanding across all areas, praising the nursery’s bespoke curriculum, highly skilled staff and strong partnerships with parents. Inspectors highlighted that “from the moment they arrive, children are extremely happy and confident,” and praised staff for “expertly adapting the curriculum to meet every child’s individual needs.”
During her visit, the Mayor enjoyed a tour of the nursery, met parents and staff, and joined the children for a special cake-cutting to mark the achievement.
Gary Jeffries, Operations Director at Little Nurseries, said:
“We are incredibly proud to share the outcomes of our recent Ofsted inspection, which highlight the dedication, hard work, and passion of our entire Little Nurseries community. I am especially proud of Zoe and the Little Tots team, who have worked tirelessly over the last three years since Little Nurseries acquired the setting. The inspector truly got to observe a typical day and see our bespoke curriculum in action.”
Nursery Manager, Zoe Swann, added:
“It was a truly amazing day where we were able to showcase everything we offer at Little Tots. I’m especially proud of the recognition around our parent partnerships – families are at the heart of what we do, and this rating reflects the trust and support we build with them every day.”
Councillor Louise Harrison, Mayor of Walsall, said:
“It is a privilege to join Little Tots in celebrating this Outstanding achievement. The staff here have created a joyful, nurturing environment where children feel confident, curious and supported. Early years education is one of the most important investments we can make in our community, and it is clear that the families of Sutton Coldfield are benefitting from the passion and commitment of this exceptional team.”
Little Tots is part of the Little Nurseries Group, a growing family of warm, community-rooted nurseries across the UK.
